RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

This position is for a Software Engineer in the Enterprise Services functional area in the Development IPT of the C2BMC program.

• The successful candidate will be responsible for software development in the Java language for Enterprise Services. The candidate will also serve as a Dev IPT liason with the Information Assurance (IA) and Networks IPTs, participating on the the IA and Common Services (CS) Working Groups.
• Primary software duties will involve design, coding, unittesting, and maintenance of C2BMC infrastructure security- and IA-related components. This entails Java development and/or supporting COTS and FOSS maintenance and upgrades.
• The candidate will also support code reviews and provide developer support for system-level testing.
• Additional development duties will be to support other
  Enterprise Services development efforts and to support streamlining the deployment of C2BMC software.
• The candidate will also coordinate and manage
  the following within Dev and with external IPTs: the deployment of new OS releases, upgrades to IA-related application software (application servers, Java versions) and other COTS and FOSS upgrades, and network configurations.
• The successful candidate will possess outstanding written, verbal,
  organizational and interpersonal skills. The candidate must be able to identify detailed tasks based on general direction, and to provide reasonable estimates for task completion, and to work independently toward completing tasks.
• The candidate must be a good team member and work well with others.The candidate will be expected to apply C2BMC standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle.

This is a contingent position based on funding from the customer.

Job Requirements

MINIMUM TANGIBLE QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered career, or journey level.
• Java development skills, preferably to include socket programming and the Java Security Architecture as well as other security-related Java standards.
• Applicants selected for this position will require an active DoDSecret clearance andbackground screening. Applicants selected for a security clearance will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirement for access to classified information.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Knowledge of directory services (Active Directory) and other security,authentication and authorization technologies including Public-Key Infrastructure (PKI), and Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML), and Web Services security.
• Knowledge of Domain Name System (DNS).Familiarity with Information Assurance (IA) implications and processes critical to the selection of applicable products that meet the overall system sustainability.Operating Systems (OS) experience in both Linux/Unix and Windows (preferably to include RedHat and VMWare)
