Vistar is the leading distributor in Retail Outlets, Pantries, Theater, Vending, Fund Raising, and Concessions.Vistar Customer Care is looking for a talented individual to fill the role of Customer Service Representative.Position Summary:This individual will be fielding questions from our customer base of Hotel Properties as well as National Retail Accounts that purchase their products from Vistar. In addition, will be supporting National Account Managers in a sales-support role, as well as serve as a liasion between our Customers and our Distribution Centers, or the Account Managers and our Distribution Centers. This person will be required to answer incoming calls from both internal and external customers, inquiring about product and services, handle complaints, troubleshoot problems and provide information. Order entry will also be a requirement. Job Responsibilities:Greet and interact with customers, internal and external, in a friendly and professional manner, including professional phone courtesy and written communication. Respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Research required information using available resources. Handle and resolve customer complaints. Provide customers with product and service information. Process customer orders by entering into AS400 system.Identify and escalate priority issues. Route calls to appropriate resources. Follow up on all customer calls, field requests, or Account Managers inquiries. Complete call logs and log issues into Sales Force. Produce sales reports as needed.Required Experience:Minimum of 1 year experience in Customer Service and/or telesales.Prior foodservice distribution experience is a plus.RequiredJob Requirements
Proficient in relevant computer applications, such as Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook, and basic on-line order entry systems. AS400 and Sales Force experience a plus. Knowledge of customer service principles and practices. Knowledge of call center telephony and technology. Twelve months or more experience in a customer service/sales support role required.Excellent data entry/keyboard skills. Relevant product knowledge preferred.Ability to research and solve problems. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal, organizational and customer service skills. Self motivated with ability to work under and meet strict deadlines individually as well as in a team environment.
