Expeditor

Supervises the daily activities of the purchasing function. Oversees the ordering of materials and supplies from vendors. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent with at least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the fields concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. May lead and direct the work of others. Typically reports to the Purchasing Manager.

responsibilities:

Communicate with sourcing and production teams, primarily on phone Track shortages in excel files Use ERP systems to search supplier contact info validate shortages and inventory position Work across planning sourcing and production teams to communicate/update on expediting activities the expeditor is drivingresponsibilities: Communicate with sourcing and production teams, primarily on phone Other tactical items will be added for both planning & sourcing such as laminating kanban cards, buyer team support and project support as neededyears of experience:

- Minimum of 2 years of experience sourcing and planning experience. Should also have expediting experience - Attention to detail- Excellent communication skills

software and systems requirements:

-Minimum of 2 years experience using erp systems (oracle, erp, sap) to get basic data like supplier phone # and email

- Must have excellent EXCEL experience and knowledge including: PIVOT TABLES, VLOOKUPS, running reports.

- Degree not required but preferred Associates or Bachelors w/experience or no degree with 4+ years experience as noted above.
