About the Position:
This position is located at the Pueblo Chemical Depot, Law Enforcement & Security Division, Security Operations Branch.

- As a Supervisory Security Guard with the Pueblo Chemical Depot, you will perform duties under the general supervision of the Shift Captain. The supervisor makes overall assignments and issues general instructions and orders concerning new, revised, or special security regulations and requirements, and advises and assists on problems of major importance or of a precedent setting nature. You will be relied upon to exercise initiative and judgment in carrying out assignments or making decisions within scope of responsibility. As the supervisor, you will ensure work is performed in conformance with methods and procedures set forth in applicable ARs and PCD Regulations.
Specialized experience: To Qualify applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the level of a GS-07. Specialized experience is defined as: work involves the protection of property against such hazards as fire, theft, damage, accident or trepass; or maintaining order and protecting life. Such experience must have provided a Thorough knowledge of security rules, regulations, methods, and procedures to perform independently the full range of patrol and fixed post duties and to demonstrate these security skills for new security employees. Knowledge of specialized operating requirements, methods, and procedures used in safeguarding classified documents, toxic chemical agents, munitions, and special items either in transit or storage to perform the complete range of security guard duties.
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade (or equivalent).
