Production Execution Business Analyst at Denver

Job Description

Johns Manville is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of the Senior Analyst - Production Planning/Manufacturing to be located in Denver, CO. This position is responsible for requirements definition, problem solving, user interfaces, configuration, testing, training, implementation and application support of the SAP production planning modules, including shop floor control (production execution) and production reporting. This position will have a part in the implementation and production support of SAP to numerous Johns Manville plant locations globally, although most work will focus on North American plants. The lead analyst is responsible for supporting the manufacturing and planning systems through the full development life cycle including interfaces to the manufacturing execution system and others.

  • Develop relationships with business leaders to gain an understanding of business drivers and objectives
  • Work independently with end users to understand business flows and processes, assess specific issues and determine business requirements
  • Evaluate existing processes and ensure system functionality is effectively enabling processes, and implement any correction or configuration necessary
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to streamline business processes
  • Configure SAP functionality to support Production Execution and PPDS
  • Develop process scenarios and test scripts
  • Write functional design specifications for reports, interfaces, enhancements, and forms
  • Develop system documentation and assist with end user training as necessary
  • Participate in long-range planning, prioritize projects and enhancements, and conduct cost/benefit analysis

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 2-5 years of demonstrated experience with SAP ERP systems
  • Understanding of PE process and PPDS process
  • At least one full SAP implementation life-cycle
  • SAP experience in reporting structures related to manufacturing and supporting modules
  • Demonstrated experience implementing best business practices throughout an organization
  • Ability to understand and define complex business requirements in sufficient detail to determine the appropriate SAP solution
  • Thorough knowledge of SAP configuration and supporting data structures
  • SAP Business Warehouse
  • Manufacturing execution systems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well within a team and project environment
  • Travel up to 25%
