Job Description
Responsibilities: Leveraging cutting edge technology across enterprise level platforms, the Senior Security Engineer is responsible for working as part of a team to design, build, document, and maintain the overall network and data center architecture used to deliver our clients Cloud Service offerings. This is a senior, highly technical role responsible for data center, network, and server components. Technologies being used within the CaaS environment include HP Blade chassis, Cisco Catalyst and Cisco Nexus platforms as well as ASA firewalls, Big-IP F5 load balancers, Citrix, NetApp, and Acme Session Border Controllers.Responsibilities:- Work with the CaaS network and data center engineers to design the infrastructure for CaaS operations with the objective of 99.999% uptime
- Provide engineering analysis, design and support for firewalls, routers, networks and operating systems
- Monitor security audit and intrusion detection system logs for system and network anomalies
- Implement, enforce and communicate security policies, standards, and guidelines for data, software, hardware, and network systems
- Perform product evaluations, recommend and implement products and or services to ensure systems meet security objectives
- Validate and test security architecture
- Provide enforcement of security directives, standards, plans and procedures for worldwide data centers
Job Requirements
Specific Qualifications:- A Bachelors degree in a computer related discipline, Engineering, or equivalent with at least 5+ years of experience in network, host, data, and application security
- Knowledge of best practices for securing data center, network, and server components
- Ability to understand system requirements and business drivers and priorities and integrate these requirements into overall network and data center security design
- Experience working with IP networking; networking protocols; and understanding of security related technologies including encryption, IPSec, VPNs, firewalls, proxy services, DNS, electronic mail and access-lists
- Experience working with Internet, web, application, and network security techniques
- Experience working with Windows Operating System Security
- Experience working with leading firewall, network scanning and intrusion detection products and authentication technologies
- Cisco Certified Security Professional (CCSP) Certification or equivalent is a plus
- Excellent communication; customer service; and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently in a self-directed manner and collaboratively as a team leader or member
- Complex problem-solving and analytical skills as well as strong troubleshooting skills
- Ability to multi-task; prioritize, and be detail-oriented
- Ability to take initiative and be proactive
- Ability to present complex information in a clear, concise manner
