Job Purpose
The Business Development Consultant reports directly to the WealthOne National Sales Manager. This individual is responsible for prospecting, developing and growing a geographical territory to increase assets under management and revenue on the WealthOne platform. This is accomplished through a consultative sales approach providing financial insight and product information via the telephone, technology, tools, resources and onsite territory travel so financial advisors can effectively offer WealthOne products to their clients. This position requires an individual that has a sales focus with excellent phone skills, oral and written communication skills, a strong work ethic and a competitive drive to succeed.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Up to 40% travel to conduct in-person meetings and presentations.
• Conduct ad-hoc and scheduled virtual meetings with Financial Advisors to assist in the sales process leading to increased sales within the territory.
• Make proactive sales calls within an assigned region on a daily basis with existing Financial Advisors to strengthen relationships and find selling opportunities.
• Identify and convert Financial Advisors into producing Financial Advisors.
• Manage territory to meet production goals.
• Proactively support the financial advisor recruiting efforts of the NPH broker/dealers.
• Schedule appointments to meet with producing or potentially producing Financial Advisors.
• Conduct analysis, develop and execute an appropriate business plan to maximize territorial sales.
• Utilize the NPH broker/dealer databases to create and maintain Advisor profile levels and data on current and proposed sales activity.
• Assist Advisors with Segmentation and Service Models.
• Assist Financial Advisors with profitability and breakeven analysis.

Education and Experience Required

• Bachelors degree required.
• 5 plus years prior insurance or investment sales experience required.
• Previous sales experience with advisory products or platforms.
  

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations

• FINRA Series 7 registrations required.
• FINRA Series 63 preferred.
