Job Description
The Denver location has an exciting opportunity for a multi-talented leader in a Sustaining Engineering position. This person will utilize their expertise in engineering to plan, direct, and coordinate manufacturing processes in an industrial plant by performing the following duties.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Create and maintain BOMs for standard product and product releases. Set up new part numbers by working closely with purchasing, vendors and accounting.
Develop and improve manufacturing processes with time studies, assembly line set up and assembly jigs for existing products and new product releases.
Design custom products using Solid Works per customer specifications.
Identify cost savings projects and designs. Complete these projects from start to finish on time and within budget.
Obtain and maintain UL compliance on all products.
Develop good working relationships with vendors to obtain quotes, prototypes and rework of parts.
Must have strong attention to detail to complete designs, maintain document control processes, ECN releases and creating BOMs & part number set up.
Solid understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
Develop, evaluate and improve manufacturing processes using various methods including: time studies, statistical methods and estimating future manufacturing requirements and potential.
Support the Customer Service department with answers to technical questions with regard to products, installations and field service issues.
Troubleshoot engineering related warranty and service issues with customers to determine root cause and problem solve solutions. This involves having (1) the requisite product knowledge needed to identify, address, and solve problems, (2) having good communication and interpersonal skills to be able to talk to a customer about solutions and give them a positive response, and (3) experience and creativity to come up with cost effective approaches.
Relocation will be offered for this position for candidates residing in the U.S.
Job Requirements
BS in Engineering from an accredited institution.Minimum of 2 years product or manufacturing experience.
Must be eligible to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
