Database Developer - SQL at Aurora

Job Description

Responsibilities: Our client is seeking a Database Developer for their Aurora, Colorado (CO) location.Responsibilities may include:

• Monitor and troubleshoot Development, Production, and Staging Servers for deadlocks, performance issues, and resource issues
• Be responsible for refreshing schemas and datasets for Development, Production, and Staging environments
• Prepare deployment scripts and producing deployment plans
• Prepare roll-back scripts and producing roll-back plans
• Run schema and data comparisons
• Create unit tests for stored procedures including set-up and tear-down operations for continuous testing and integration
• Performance tune queries and offer expertise on set-based operations
• Offer consulting on optimal architecture and data models
• Create and manage schema documentation and other technical artifacts relating to development
• Administer source control of production schemas and development schemas
• Provide administration of development, testing, and staging servers
• Install revised or new systems by proposing specifications and flowcharts
• Recommend optimum access techniques and coordinate installation requirements
• Support database functions by designing and coding utilities
• Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards

Job Requirements

Database Developer Qualifications:

• Experience in object-oriented design and analysis
• Extensive experience in full software development life cycle including requirements definition, prototyping, design, coding, testing and maintenance
• Strong background in database development and proven history as a team player
• Must be able to compile and maintain an enterprise schema across all applications and enforce the principles of good (authorized/accepted) data design
• Design and maintain data architecture that accommodates changing business priorities and technological changes
• Experience Level: 0-3 Years
• Skill Set: Ability building data abstraction layers - Stored procedures, triggers and SQL - Extensive background in development on multiple databases
