Roofing Technical Specialist at Littleton

Job Description

Johns Manville is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of District Technical Specialist to be located in Littleton, CO. This positions primary purpose is to ensure that contractors that utilize Johns Manville receive a high level of service on all technical and guarantee matters. This position will examine specific roofing situations and decide if the systems are eligible for guarantee. Many of these situations will require significant deviation and/or modification from our written specifications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Answer technical and guarantee questions
• Wind Calculations
• Do roof evaluations
• Assist in specification writing
• Have up to $10,000 repair procedure authority
• Supervise District Contractor Services Advocates

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 4 year engineering degree
• Registered Roof Observer or Registered Roof Consultant preferred
• 5 years experience in dealing with customers
• 10 years of experience in a technical capacity in low slope roofing
• Expert knowledge of roofing practices
• Excellent customer skills, oral and written skills
• Excellent computer skills
• Excellent negotiation skills and presentation skills
• Thorough knowledge of legal issues relating to roofing and construction
