Job Classification: Contract Our client is looking for a Software Engineer to join their team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located on-site in a government customer facility at Schriever AFB, in Colorado Springs, CO.The Software Engineer will support the program primarily as a Mission Application and GUI developer. Responsibilities include all facets of the software design, development, and implementation life cycle for software and database changes identified by program personnel especially as it pertains to telemetry processing. This includes analysis of change requests and requirements for new software support capabilities, as well as the ability to resolve technically challenging issues and proactively evolve system and software requirements. Candidates must be able to work in an operational location with government (civilian and military) personnel. The project is anticipated to last six months with the opportunity to go permanent after that time.Major Job duties include:- Design of software, COTS/GOTS integration, and procedures to meet and mitigate requirements.- Implementation of software using Java, C/C++, Python scripts, Oracle applications, and other programming tools.- Support in-house rehearsals and day-of-launch activities with regard to NRO, EELV, and DoD missions.- Integration, documentation, and testing of software development artifacts.Job Requirements and qualifications:- Requires a Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Math, plus 2 years of work related experience.- Must have experience developing software using JAVA and C/C++.- Experience with space command and control operations and concepts.- Knowledge of satellite ground system concepts.- Must have experience in the development of User Interface, process control, algorithms, and/or Oracle (or similar) relational database management applications.- Use and/or application of technical principles, theories, and concepts.- Ability to create and follow standard processes and clearly document results.- Possess good verbal and written communications skills.- Possess proven teamwork and interpersonal skills.- Position requires an Active TS/SCI Clearance.Preferred Qualifications:- Ability to efficiently and independently multi-task in an extremely demanding and deadline-driven environment.- CMMI knowledge/experience.- Development with Oracle, PL/SQL.Join Aerotek, one of the leading providers of engineering and engineering support professionals in North America.
